Yes, in Zurich 4 years ago and they were very good. My neighbour at the time also used them around the same time and had a bad experience.

The difference is I gave them each a nice tip when they arrived and said lunchtime pizza is on me and she didnīt.

That should not make the difference in service. A tip is given after a service is provided. A company that is hired to do a job should do what they are hired to do.

No, the original idea of a tip (To Insure Promptness) was alwas given in advance - to get the best table/seat etc.

You get what you pay for, so if you get a cheap company then the service cannot be expected to be incredible. For me the guys did extra stuff with a smile, for my neighbour they did what they were paid for and nothing extra. Hence she had lots of stuff to do and I didnīt.

Re: Anyone use Guenstigerumzug for their move and cleaning?

I used them last year, and I found them good value for money. The service is very basic. They did not pack/protect anything so make sure that fragile objects are well-wrapped in bubble plastic or blankets before the guys arrive.

I also asked them to demount some large wardrobes + mount them again in the new apartment. They did a really good job there, very fast and the wardrobes did not suffer.

All in all I was happy with the service, but it is nothing compared to really professional movers, who do not only pack the goods but also protect the elevator/floor etc. Günstiger Umzug is more like having 2 strong friends helping you move (but more efficient). You get what you pay for.

Just one thing: they did not inform me upfront that I had to pay in cash. Make sure you have the exact amount in cash ready, as the guys do not carry a lot of change either.

I know friends who've moved with them. They were quite happy.
Packing and the like is extra cost usually i.e. regardless of the base hourly price. They're in good demand so you need to be early to get them just like the other good ones i.e. Kaylan, Alfa etc.
