Subletting a furnished apartment

Hi all,

I am moving back to the UK in the next month or so, and had someone lined up to take over my lease (which ends in March) but they have pulled out at the last minute. Not a unique situation I'm sure, but the problem I have is that they had previously agreed to take the furniture also.
So - a friend of mine mentioned that when he sublet his last apartment he was able to do so furnished, whilst advertising that the new tenants also would have buy the furniture off him, as part of the deal of taking it over. Is this normal ? I've been looking on homegate and don't see any similar 'deals' being advertised ...

Many thanks if anyone has seen this before, I'm not sure it's the right way to go.

Francis.
