Arbitration and paying rent to conciliation

Hi I would be grateful to find out about getting an arbitral type of decision.

I found a Nachmieter whom the landlord rejected, but won't confirm in writing that I am released from my lease. The mieterverband confirmed that the Nachmieter met the requirements. The landlord has been messing me about for a month.

so I'd like to get confirmation that I can leave my apartment with no further obligations. Other threads on this forum suggest the Schlichtungsbehoerde is not the place to go for a decision.

I'd like to know: where to go; how to apply and how to pay my rent in, to avoid paying the landlord.

Thanks for any advice........

I would be intrigued to know why they suggest that the Schlichtungsbehörde would not be the place to go. On the contrary I think it would be the very place to go. In fact you may even find that as soon as you submit your papers the landlord decides it more trouble than it's worth and gives you what you are looking for.
