Re: Registering Residency??

My colleague wants to know:
Which documents are necessary for a US citizen registering in Vaud? He wants to go first thing Monday morning and is unable to get a call over the weekend.

Thanks!

Quote:
REGISTRATION WITH THE COMMUNITY
From the day when you cross the line officially with your personal effects, you have a period of 8 days to register with the residents of your new commune. The notification shall be made in any case before the first working.

Likewise, you have to report your community when you leave to go abroad or to another message and Swiss community in the new commune within 8 days.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
valid government issued ID (from entering the country each family member)
Confirmation of health insurance (proof of compulsory basic insurance)
1 passport photo (of immigrants entering each family member)
Documents on marital status (eg, family book, marriage certificate, birth certificate of the minor children, etc.)
Employment contract
I would add the rental contract as well.

Well perhaps one of his work colleagues would be the best source of information then, as H is not too common....

Like I said, he wants to go Monday morning, so there isn't time to ask a colleague before then. Seeing as how I got a reliable answer in half an hour, I guess the "best source of information" was actually EF
