Furnished temporary accomodation

Hi,

I had to dig this up recently, so thought I'd post this up here. I have these links for Zurich - for people requiring short term lets, aparthotels, furnished and temporary apartments.

http://www.ums.ch
http://www.apartments-swiss-star.ch

http://www.zuerich.com/hotel/apartme...rtment_hotels/

http://www.cityappartements.ch

As far as I know, these links are current. If anyone knows anymore, please add them here. I think this is one of the most commonly asked questions with people just moving to Switzerland or here for a very short time.

A further link:

Thanks Sean for adding these:

For sub-lets (or sublets, room rental), student websites are a good place to start:

Re: Furnished temporary accomodation

Hi I was asked to repost this by another user, I wrote it into response to asking about long term accomodations, thought it might be useful, Quote: we're now staying at a long term stay place while looking for an apartment and it isn't cheap. 2100 is actually not a bad price, right now we're paying 1800/mo for a double room in a guest house (one other room) with unlimited access to a kitchen that's about 10 min tram from downtown, and that's cheap. I tried several business apartments and they were all booked this month. Here are some of the places I tried: http://www.cityappartements.ch/ http://www.accademia.li/location_and_how_to_find_us.htm http://www.sacoapartments.co.uk/apar...aspx?apart=597 This is where we are now: http://www.sleepinzurich.ch/4667/ind...ession*id*val* You can also try: http://www.homegate.ch they list furnished apartments, some for short periods. I found some around 1700 here, but we have a cat, so I had to say no to several because they didn't allow pets. Also, not all of them speak english, so if you know German you may have better luck then me. It's expensive here for sure, though rental housing is cheaper then san fracisco (although there seem to be fewer apartments). Good luck! marcos
