Gains tax on domestic property sale

I have sold a parking space within Swiss apartment block and had 5% of the proceeds held back to pay for any Swiss gains tax due. I am told there is a form to fill in with details of the sale, like my purchase price and year of purchase, in order for a calculation to be made by the tax authorities. Then any overcharge within the 5% held back will be credited to me.

Does anyone know where I get this form from? Also, where to send it? Is it Canton tax?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Gains tax on domestic property sale

There is no capital gains tax in most cantons, but there is Grunstuckgeweinsteuer - which is a tax on the profit the sale of property introduced in the early 90s to stop speculatzion, often much more than the 5% you mention.

I have no idea where "CH1894" is. But a quick search here will tell you about this tax and the rates for your canton will be found on Google...
