The guy wants to ignore the previous collective wisdom and quoted media articles about this company.
They already stated they had decided to use this company despite this.

So my answer seems reasonable.

But hey, you don't need to answer even if you fail to interpret the entire thread...
That was the wisdom pre 2013 when it changed hands, no?

I think he stated he certainly hadn't decided on this company (if so, why ask questions about them?) and was looking for recent experiences as he was leaning towards them.

Or, more accurately, I asked if anyone knew whether the issues from 2013 were still current today, and said I was thinking of using them... but why let such facts get in the way of trying to defend your pointless and unhelpful post?

You dont need to answer if you failed to read my actual posts.....

QUOTE from their website:

Are Batmaid cleaning maids insured ?

Yes, they are. Batmaid has negotiated with the private insurance Generali a much cheaper accident insurance “LAA professionnel” and “LAA non-professionnel” than if you were booking it by yourself.

All insurances are included in the price you pay online!

No paperwork on your side anymore!
UNQUOTE
Careful though, it says they take care of the paperwork for you

I would rather be the customer (of a company that employs cleaners) than the employer (of a cleaner via an agency who took care of the psperwork for me.)

Re: Help needed urgently with putzfrauenvermittlung.ch

This seems to be not an agency but a cleaning company (Putzfirma) which sends in its own staff (so they are not employed by you) https://www.mrcleaner.ch/nuetzliches/agb.html

This one writes of "Angestellte", i.e. their employees: https://www.pebra.ch/de-ch/putzfrau_...tzfrau_angebot

This one says that they employ their cleaners: https://www.meineperle.ch/ihre-vorteile/
https://www.meineperle.ch/cleaning-service/

Having googled a bit, I think the difference is between an "Agentur" which simply supplies you with the contact to a cleaner, and you either do the paperwork or pay the agency a fee to do it for you, for your employee (= the model you don't want, Terry), and, on the other hand, a "Putzfirma" which is a company employing its own staff, and they send some of those to clean your premises. The above are examples of Putzfirmen.

Great tips, many thanks! Will have a look at them.

Re: Help needed urgently with putzfrauenvermittlung.ch

Hi folks.

By way of an update and to round off this discussion, we looked at the links from doropfiz and chose Meine Perle. We got them to come and give us a quote for two services - a regular cleaning of the apartment, and also a one off cleaning of the windows (we always had good intentions of doing it but somehow never really got round to it).

High level review - we are totally happy with the service and if anyone else is looking for a similar deal (eg pay a company who employs the cleaner to then come clean your flat) then we would definitely recommend them.

More detailed points to note, the one off window cleaning was a separate invoice and a separate cleaner. The regular cleaner comes every two weeks to clean, on the same fixed day/time that we agreed with them up front (this is their model, it makes sure they have enough work to be able to properly employ the cleaners). We got a spare key made by our landlord and that goes in a locked box in the company office (the cleaner picks it up to come clean our place and returns it afterwards). We get a monthly invoice to pay and in total we pay roughly CHF 65 per hour (but I guess the fee depends on the size of apartment and how long it takes to clean etc.) For what we get, I think thats a fair price. The one-off window clean was also payment afterwards by invoice, if I remember correctly it was around CHF 200 (which again likely depends on the effort involved, our flat is entirely windows along one side, floor to ceiling, cleaned inside and out and they were in a pretty bad state beforehand so again, in that context, probably fair). One other thing to note is that if we go on holiday they will still come to clean - again makes sense because they need the regular work to be able to employ people properly) but as long as we give them notice they will (for example) deep clean the bin or the oven or the fridge or whatever so that we still grt our moneys worth.

As I said overall this is exactly what we were looking for - we deliberately left it a while before posting so we could be sure that we were happy with it, and we definitely are. Thanks again Dorpofiz for finding them and sharing the link!
