tiny houses

I've been following the tiny houses revolution going on particularly in the US and I was just wondering what you think about the possibilities of tiny houses in Switzerland. I found a video of a tiny house in Germany that I am posting here..enjoy!

Re: tiny houses

I've watched that super tiny apartment video before. Hmmm so I guess we wouldn't see tiny houses popping up in Switzerland anytime soon =(

Re: tiny houses

With Swiss rental prices, they would be the 1000CHF Houses

Yes very possible, you keep telling us, but wee don't all want to live in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure it's very nice where you live, but it is unlikely to suit what i want

Re: tiny houses

I've daydreamed often about the tiny houses, I think they'd be really fantastic to have on wheels and use instead of the more common camper trailers or RV, but I don't really see myself living in one permanently.

On the other hand, I can see myself living in a tiny house situated in some sort of camp ground or in the woods near a stream a lot easier than I can imagine living in that tiny apartment in the city. Ain't no way man!

Do people still read books! How quaint, not read a book since leaving school in 1979.

Fine for newly published books, but no good for one's antiquarian collection.

Re: tiny houses

I worked with someone who had designed his own house around his and his wife's book collections.

All the hallways were extra wide to allow for book cases along the walls on both sides.

Absolutely, but people keep saying how 'Switzerland' is so expensive - and some areas are not. That flat is 40 mins from Lausanne... and 30 from Neuchatel, and 30 mins from Pontarlier.
