Moving firms (within Lausanne/Pully)

I need to move my belongings (around 15-20 boxes, some electrical appliances, & plants), from one part of Pully/Lausanne to another. Could anyone recommend any Déménagement firms or Man with a Van? The one caveat would be affordability (being a student).

Since you are a student and don't have a lot of big stuff, you should have some young/healthy male friends you can convince to help you for a couple of beers and maybe a pizza. :D

Look at my second post on this thread. It is really cheap to rent a van from this company in Lausanne. Several sizes available. Since it is end of month, it is best to call and reserve.

Unfortunately, the time is rather inconvenient. The ones who would have helped are either away this week or otherwise occupied with stuffs that really doesn't allow them to find time :msnsad:

And as I can't drive and am on the extreme petite end, I was considering a moving company instead... :msncrazy:

For the benefit of anyone posing this question in the future: I contacted V__ (an English Forum member) after reading this thread. The moving wasn't exactly easy work, but he was flexible in terms of schedule, friendly, innovative, and very helpful! I am very happy to recommend him :)

I recently moved from Geneve to Nyon. Family of 3 so we had quite a lot to move. First called HERTZ and got a quote for 4900ch! So I looked more on the internet and found a guy. Called him and he gave me a quote over the phone for 1200chf! I didnt believe him since all I did was tell him about how many boxes we would need and what furniture we were taking over the phone. I asked him many times if he wanted to come and see so he knows but he said nope and that will be the price. And it was! Mind you the van or truck he had was a piece of crap but he kept his word and nothing was broken so thats good, right? He was a really nice, pretty young French man(speaks good english) who started his company this year with a few other people. You may want to give him a try. Since I found him on the internet with his number Im sure he wont mind me putting it here. His name is Carbonie. 078-679-9684 Good luck! And he lives in Lausanne.
