Finding a flat

Hello all,

I'm looking for a flat near the DE-CH border, on German side. I was looking around this forum for useful data and also went through around 500 other pages in past few days, but I dont think I'm much nearer to finding it.
I'm actually looking for a short term lease, for several months.

Any tips? Where would be possible to find a flat without giving 2-3 rents to agency as a comission (in Germany)? I followed a few tips/links, but even on such sites I don't actually see any direct owners' ads.
I also left an ad here in 'wanted' section, so we'll see how that goes.

Does anyone have a useful info about finding a flat in Germany, near the border (for the daily/almost daily/occasional commute) and that would like to share it?

Thanks a lot and excuse me if this was already brought up elsewhere.

Did you search on Tutti.ch? You can have some opportunities there! Good Luck!
Thanks, I was on tutti.ch, found a few ads, called but didn't come up with anything. Looks like it's not that easy to find a flat for short term.
Comparis.ch seemed to be one of the best to look at, since it looks to many other ad-websites and aggregates ads in one place. Although, because of that it often has expired ads, because they already get rented.
Immonet.de, homesite.ch, ferienwohnung.de were also helpful.

Also, I realized only later that agencies don't really take 2 rents when you lease for shorter time.. but I have to yet confirm that in real life.
