Rent Reimbursement Info

Just in case folk are not aware -- we got a rent reimbursement. We live in Vaud, and don't know if it is the same everywhere en suisse. They estimated the taxes at 2.5% and they were actually 2% for 2013. So if you send a letter to your landlord (as they don't obviously advertise this) requesting the amount to be reimbursed, they will do it as it is law. So if you rent, check your tax situation and the actual tax and you are entitled to an adjustment. You just have to let the landlord know in advance, 2-3 months before your lease expires. My husband's company informed him as this is not well known.

Re: Rent Reimbursement Info

You really should read the Forum... the rental reduction takes effect at the next resignation date, as per your contract. So get the application in soon! The reduction is dependent on the official bank mortgage interest rate, announced about every 3 months.
