[Help!]Does anyone have experience with the service of HEV(Haus Eigentum Verband)?

Dear all,

Does anyone have experience with the service provided by HEV(Haus Eigentum Verband)? On their website it says that you can call and ask some legal advice as a member of HEV. But I am not sure that if they can speak English because my German is not good enough. And how do they charge if you ask for the consult or help from lawyer provided from HEV and will you have some discount if you become a member of HEV.

Thank you in advance.

We have been members for about 10 years. The only time we called about legal advice, they didn't know the answer. I doubt they speak English, but you can only try - some of the most unexpected people speak it well.

AFAIK you get 15 minutes a year free advice, but again, I doubt they check this!

Do you feel that it is still worth to be a member of HEV if they did not know the answer?

The HEV also has in-house property lawyers who you can consult and who will help you. I used one some years ago and thought he did a good job and because he was coping with property matters on a daily basis he took less time to understand the problem and deal with it. It was definitely less time consuming and hence less expensive.I can't remember how much it cost. I was a member and at the time and reckoned it was worth the subscription.
