What can I expect to pay Notary for Residential property transaction in Kanton Lzern

I can't find the answer on the Web or on the Stadt Luzern site.

I understand that in other Kanton it is a fixed ‰of the transaction price.

So let's say 2‰ of 1M. 20, 000

In your combined experience is there room to negotiate a fixed fee?

Appreciate any advice in or outside Luzern.

Check art. 21.
Given that the fees are fixed by law I should not imagine that anyone will negotiate.

Thanks Snoopy.

Ouch! Sliding scale starting at 3% on the first 500,000 then 2.5% on the excess up to 1,000,000,
then 2.0% on the excess up to 5,000,000.

I see it is fixed in law however playing the market by requesting negotiations from several Vendors may yield some fruit.

I'd be interested to see how that goes down. Do let us know how you get on.

Why would anybody want to negotiate something that is already fixed by law ?

Because there may be a surplus of supply of Notary services for example.

Perhaps there are slow periods when reduced rates are better than no rates.
