Villages cycling distance from centre of Zurich

Hi,

I'm possibly moving to a job in Zurich and I am a very keen cyclist/swimmer/runner/skier.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a village outside Zurich which would be good to cycle in from? I'd be happy to cycle up to 1 hour each way. Somewhere near a lake and on the way to ski resorts would be even better. I would also need a train line for when it was too cold/i can't be bothered

Many thanks in advance!

Mike

That'd be just about anywhere either side of Zürisee, to Rapperswil on the North side or Pfäffikon on the South. Or Zugersee or Agerisee nearer the mountains. Depends if you want a flat commute both ways, or if you're ok to climb a little on the way home.
