Buying Furniture in Switzerland

Hi
I am moving to Geneva with my family in July. My husband will move into our rental property in a couple of weeks.

I'd like to buy a divan style bed either in France/Swiss or have delivered from Uk.

Does anyone have any help/suggestions?

Thanks

It will be a lot cheaper in France or Germany. The furniture store on the other side of the boarder usually deliver to CH.

A Swiss colleague suggested to me the other day Roche Bobois. The style is more Paris than Bauhaus. You can try it in Bussigny and order it in France. I have no experience with them yet but will check it out after the Easter holidays

Re: Buying Furniture in Switzerland

You neglected to indicate your price range so you've received two fairly wide extremes already (Ikea - 500-2000 CHF and Roche Bobois >10000 CHF).

In between you have things like Interio and Pfister. If you are aiming more at the top end, you can go to Mobitare, which is Pfister's exclusive range and often stocks Roche Bobois and other designers anyway.

Buying it abroad will almost always be a better value though..

Thanks everyone for your help - looks as though France is probably best option
