Re: Someone occupied my cellar

Or maybe this approach

Contact the landlord - and say that you want a Rent reduction - as you cant use the celler that you pay for!

Make it his problem :-)

Re: Someone occupied my cellar

It's a great idea, which probably won't work more than just to make a few ripples..... I'm all for making ripples.

You could also send the others a bill, as they have had free storage for 6 months.

LOL we are all going round in circles...everyone is posting ideas which have already been suggested - But in different syntax :P

I think the OP will be fed up of our instinctive abilities of nattering on and may just end up leaving the stuff inside to avoid the hassle

Re: Someone occupied my cellar

I don't think someone suggested writing a letter yet...

I had similar, someone dumped their shit in our recently cleared storage and put a lock on it. . Things were being added over days so the lock was broken immediately and the stuff dumped in the open with a rather direct notice. The crap moved to our neighbours over full storage a few days later with no comments

Rubbish, we haven't even come close to full circle. Nobody has mentioned Muslims, Homeoptahy or the SVP yet.

OK, I'll start by saying the person who stole your cellar is like Hitler.

Now we've got past that, somebody please raise the other points

You can get vaccinations for all those, but they cause autism.

Re: Someone occupied my cellar

Ah well, just add a couple of centimes ... normally in CH, you are supposed to provide your own lock for your cellar/locker and keep it locked. So... if it was left opened, then perhaps that makes you responsible and not the landlord, perhaps? Surely you noticed before that is was squatted by someone? You should have kept it locked I'm afraid, even if empty.

Yes, you did.

OP, for future cellars I recommend getting a (large) padlock which you affix to your cellar as soon as you've received the apartment keys from the landlord/agency.

Re: Someone occupied my cellar

Back on topic (someone has to be the grown up here),

what about making it an EF event?

You provide the bolt cutters and a few tables, we help you get all the stuff upstairs, we sell it, we convert the money into booze and we drink it.

It's the only thing that makes sense.

You are welcome.

Or I could bring my battery-powered Dremel with the carbide cutting disks which will eat through any lock like a hot knife through butter.
