Help to evaluate a contract

Hi All,
Many thanks if anyone can help me with this question....I am just about to sign a contract to rent a home in Switzerland but first cant read it (German) and second dont know how to evaluate if it has all the right bits and pieces. Is there some company or organisation that can spend say an hour with me going over it before I give my signature? I would pay for the time if needed.

Re: Help to evaluate a contract

I highly recommend joining the tenants' association, Mieterverband. You pay an annual fee and they can help you understand your contract, work out any disagreements with your neighbors or your landlord, help you with the handover of the flat when you leave, etc.

Re: Help to evaluate a contract

Can you cover any identifying information in the contract, scan it, and post it here, say as a PDF File? I, for one, could look at it and say if there is anything really strange about it. Usually, though, these are based on a standard form, and your scope for negotiating changes is small.
