Mould removal in Romanshorn area

Hi can anyone recommend a cleaning company or handyman who is able to remove mould from walls and works in the Romanshorn area? We've tried to deal with it ourselves but don't really know what we're doing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your response! The problem is that most of the areas on the forum state how to get rid of the mould yourself. Instead, I wanted to find a third party who could do it (like a service company).

Re: Mould removal in Romanshorn area

1. why do you have mould? Is it your lifestyle causing it?

2. a normal painter will have solutions and paints, but he will be expensive.

Note, my weekly post quota of 2% exceeded. Click to see posting averages.

To me it seems like the insulation is inadequate, and moisture (from the shower?) might be condensing on the cold corners of the house.
Is the roof insulation adequate? Is the roof a flat roof and is leaking?

Often when mould is present the only solution is to chop away the plaster and when the wall is dry, re-plaster.
Alternatively you might try and paint the mouldy area with an oil based paint, to stop the mould from the plaster, breaking through the ordinary paint.

You should leave instructions to always open the bathroom window a little bit, and keep the door shut.
The dampness might also be coming from the washing machine.

Look for a builder, a plasterer or a painter in your area.

Re: Mould removal in Romanshorn area

Sbrinz, thanks for your message. This is a holiday flat so we're not in it all of the year. The mould appears in the top corner of one room and also in the top of the bathroom. I think it may just be condensation, although as the flat is the top floor of a building, it could be something to do with the roof as well. Nevertheless, that's why we need someone to diagnose the issue and solve it for us. I know sometimes there are cleaning companies that specialise in mould and damp, but I don't know of any in the area.
