Thinking of moving to Stallikon

My Fiancè and I are considering moving from Horgen to Stallikon as we have found an apartment which is larger than our own, and with a little one on the way, it really makes sense from an apartment perspective.

My only doubt is living in Stallikon itself. Horgen has everything, in terms of supermarkets, public transport links etc... and am just trying to get my head around moving to a smaller quieter village.

Would really appreciate the view of anyone who has lived or is living there to understand if it is a nice place to live

Re: Thinking of moving to Stallikon

It's not Horgen. It's value priced for a reason...much of that reason is that it's in a valley and it's exposure to full sun is limited. It's not so far from the city though if you have a car.

We considered stallikon years ago but opted for Affoltern am Albis area as it was better connected to the regional cities and the like.

If you are looking for quiet...its a good option for sure.

Re: Thinking of moving to Stallikon

I have been living in Stallikon for 8 yrs and love it. I do not live far from the small coop store at Sellenbrunen

It is very small and one is 10 mins to Triemli, 20 mins to Zug by car for work.

it is not Horgen but it is quiet and offers walks in the little woods.

Also, I very much enjoy the sun from where I live.
