Re: Looking for furnished apartment In zurich

Furnished apartments here are very rare and expensive.

Can you bring some essential furniture, and buy the rest from this Forum?

Hello Nadia,

I'm currently searching a flat as you, and I have to tell you that there many furnished options if you are coming for a short period.
People that leave for a few months and don't want to lose their flats.
Just look for them in the usual webs.

You can also try: http://www.ums.ch/furnished-apartments/ (keep in mind that they commission).

Re: Looking for furnished apartment In zurich

Air BnB is often cheaper than any regular serviced apartments. Also keep in mind that since you want furnished it may cost quite a bit more than unfurnished.

Re: Looking for furnished apartment In zurich

If you find a shared apartment, you might at least only need a bed and a cupboard,

http://www.wgzimmer.ch/en/wgzimmer.html?wc_language=en

or what about the furnished chalets and caravans that camping sites rent out to holiday makers?

You could just about commute from Solothurn camping to Zurich,

Re: Looking for furnished apartment In zurich

My husband and I just moved to Zurich 14 days ago. We are staying in a furnished apartment also for now. There are many furnished flat in Zurich as danny_t22 said but it is expensive. And I agree with you that if you will be here for only 3 months better to go for the furnished one so you don't need to buy furniture, sell it when you leave and pay others extra expenses (electricity, internet, billag, garbage etc.).

You can try to find a furnished apartment from the link below:

http://www.wohnen.ethz.ch/Wohnraum_s...ments/index_EN

Some of them have a lower price.

Another thing is you can try to sublease from someone. Try from the link below.
http://www.marktplatz.uzh.ch/wohnungen/

However, if you are going to sublease, I recommend you to see an apartment in person. You never know if an apartment actually exist.

Good luck for your serch.

Hi everybody and thank you guys who answered me and came with suggestions.
Sorry I didn't reply , I was so busy. We've decided to go for hotel aopartment for some days until we find a furnished appartment.
We have to be there that we look at the appartment first before we pay anything.

Stella12343, thank you for sharing your experience. And thank you for the links. Where did you come from? Did you come to Zurich for short time for work or you are going to stay forever there?
We are coming from Sweden just for some months for my husband's work. He works with IT.

Your welcome. We just moved from USA. I am originally from Thailand and my husband is Latino. He is working as postdoc here for at lease 2 years. We actually just got a permanent apartment in Zurich and moving in next month. It is faster than we thought. Feel free to ask me or PM if you have questions. I would be happy to help if I can
