Where can I find a bulb plug splitter here?

Checked Obi and Jumbo, they have nothing like this. I need it for my garage so I can get a plug out of my bulb. Any shop has these or I need to order from ebay?

Re: Where can I find a bulb plug splitter here?

You could get one of these E27-E27 extensions, cut off the socket and replace with a plug socket.

http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B00AAC8HOO

But remember it will be unearthed, so you should use a T11 (two pin) socket not a T13 three pin.

Re: Where can I find a bulb plug splitter here?

I guess that you are best served with these 2 articles from amazon.de.
http://www.amazon.de/Lampenhalter-Ad.../dp/B009AEDF9U
http://www.amazon.de/BestOfferBuy-Gl.../dp/B00AAC8JJ2

That way, you should be able to run an arc welding set, and maybe also a pottery kiln from the lighting circuit in your garage, with enough spare capacity for a deep freezer or two.

To use all the stated applications simultaneously, you may need to upgrade your fuses.

In case you need guidance on the right type of use, I am attaching this very useful illustration.

There are used ones available on Ebay.de:

http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=...kdose&_sacat=0

search on:
"lampenfassung mit steckdose"

Be sure that your household insurance is paid up before installing.

Added:
New, old stock, but still made of Bakelite:

Yeah, I think they've been banned in Europe for about forty years. I do recall such things in the UK when I was a kid - for some reason I associate them with electric shavers - but I think the fact that lighting circuits (in the UK) are un-earthed and only 5A meant they were neither legal (to sell) nor safe.

Re: Where can I find a bulb plug splitter here?

OP, bear in mind that electrical sockets only have to be rated for 120V in the US, yet any American electrician would still advise against their use for reasons of fire safety. What is only marginally safe in the US, is potentially quite a hazard at 220/240V here in Switzerland.

Re: Where can I find a bulb plug splitter here?

Wikipedia says: "Wiring regulations in the UK and some other countries no longer approve lampholder plugs because of the risks of overheating and fire."

What you find on ebay is usually historical stuff. Probably quite unsafe...

Apparently, in Poland you still can buy new adaptors.
Google search: Zlodziejka E27
Google search: zlodziejka gniazda uniwersalne oprawka e27
allegro.pl - Results / sklepy24.pl - Results / elektrokompleks.eu - Result
That model has a sticker on it which says: Pmax 920W, 4A, 230V

Well, I wouldn't use any of these, but rather have an electrician install a clean and safe solution...

It is actually less a hazard here Still unsafe and thus outlawed.
