Ikea- online delivery

Can't face going to Ikea in person. Has anyone done an online order.
How long does the delivery take? Are the delivery charges reasonable ?
Need to buy wardrobes etc.

Go to Ikea online, add stuff to your basket and go through the order process without actually paying in the end. It should tell you all of this.

Re: Ikea- online delivery

Delivery is either 10 chf or 100 chf depending on the size of the items in the order...

The small orders in the past come with swiss post... Took about ten days...

The bigger orders take longer... And setting up a delivery time means you need to be home...

Re: Ikea- online delivery

I've found IKEA delivery charges expensive (but sometimes worth it).

Have a look for a handyman in your area. You may well find someone that'll collect it directly from IKEA (you can pre-order it for collection) and help assemble it for less than Ikea's delivery charge.

Re: Ikea- online delivery

i found it works great. if you have smaller things it might be worth splitting orders in two (2 times CHF10 delivery, instead of CHF100). while you are filling your shopping basket, you can always check how much the delivery is ging to be. of course that won't work with wardrobe but in case you need other things later on.
