Struggling to find accommodation in Solothurn

Hello,
I'm new here but already wanting to move out of the WG my employer found me... Unfortunately I'm too used to living by myself and having a clean kitchen!
But I'm really struggling to find a place. All I'd like is a one room, studio style apartment.
Yet,because I have an L permit and am only here for 10 months, it's seemingly impossible.
Does anyone have any good ideas or suggestions or know anyone who knows anyone with a room spare?!?
Thanks all!

Well, there is not much to find on homegate(first are swiss, then permit C, B, L)

Did you tried to extent your search to the kanton solothurn, not the city itself ?

A big problem is that the schools and colleges are back in the classrooms, these rooms might be gone soon, so hurry up....

Thanks Sbrink - unfortunately I've already tried emailing those people and no one has actually replied to me... You'd like to think that they would have decency to tell me if it is not available any more...Shame.

I've thought about widening out my search, but I don't drive and I think it would find it hard to cycle everywhere particularly in winter..

.
Sorry you haven't had any success so far but with regards to lack of replies, there may literally be hundreds of applicants. Replying to each one, even using multiple addresses and the same text would take for ever. Hope you have better luck soon.

I guess so!

I'm just super aware that the longer I have to leave it, the less time that I'll actually be staying for, and the less of a chance I have to actually get a place! Soon I'll only be needing a place to stay for 9 months, rather than 10...

It might be worth putting a card up on the Migros & Coop notice boards.

Commute from Zurich airport? http://www.englishforum.ch/property-offered/239732-furnished-room-shower-w-wc-rent.html

Keep an eye open, http://www.englishforum.ch/property-offered/

How about contacting people offering AirBnB rooms, and asking them for a price for a month?
