Relocation Assistance Zug / Schwyz

Hello there,

Does anyone have any recommendations for relocations assistance to the Zug / Schwyz area? We are coming from the French part of Switz and don't know the area well - but my partner will be working there.

I wondered alternatively if we could do the finding of housing online (by ourselves) or if we needed to have someone to submit the paper work. We don't speak much German but do speak French.

Thanks for any advice

Mazza

Re: Relocation Assistance Zug / Schwyz

Hello,

If you are looking for professional assistance, you might try "Prime Relocation" as they are based in Zug.

Alternatively, you could house-hunt by yourself using websites like "Homegate.ch", "Home.ch" and "Comparis.ch". We did this when moving out of Zurich to a different canton and submitted the Visa paperwork directly to the respective Gemeinde + apartment application directly to the real estate agency/landlord.

All being said, Zug is a very nice area with good train connections to Zurich and airport.

Good luck!

We got assisted by Auris Relocation.
The company has offices in Zug, close to the train station.

We used Packimpex - no complaints. Guys brought everything, unpacked, reassembled, cleaned up...etc..came back a month later when we asked them and took away ALL the cardboard and plastic wrappings.

I would suggest your partner ask their employer to provide relocation assistance, particularly for home search. As you are not living in the area you would benefit from a company arranging the viewings for you and handling the paperwork. There are a number of agencies providing this service in the Zug area. You could of course retain their services on your own. Many relocation companies sell packages and prices vary.

Of course many people do find housing on their own, but when you are not living in the area it can be a challenge.
