historical selling/renting prices in CH

Hello,

Does anyone know of any websites that provide historical information on selling/renting prices? In the UK these are widely available, and I was wondering if there is anything similar over here.

I've found some information on comparis:

http://www.comparis.ch/immobilien/intro.aspx

This is meant to cover the last 4 years, but I think it has big gaps and is not complete: for example it returns no sales for where I live despite there having been at least 10 properties for sale on comparis in my area over the last few years ...

Anyone know of any other sites?

Patrious

If you Google 'Switzerland housing statistics' you may find what you're looking for.

I *think* that if you commune has switched to the electronic land registry you can go down to the commune and consult changes of ownership and details. Im not aware of it being available online.

For more general indexes UBS and CS both do annual property market reviews where you can see historic trends.

But I might be wrong.

Homegate provides a Gemeinderating page for most towns, giving price trends since 2000 in that area. Also includes current average price per square meter for 'normal' homes, and for luxury homes.

For example, here is Feusisberg SZ:

When you bring up a property listing, look on the left side menu, about half way down the page, under 'Lage'. Clicking on 'Gemeinderating' will give you info for the Gemeinde in which that property is located.

(And I agree - Homegate could use a design overhall... )

Re: historical selling/renting prices in CH

It seems that homegate has removed Gemeinderating (I can't find it anywhere), but the saved links are still working

Re: historical selling/renting prices in CH

Unfortunately, the values of real estate transactions in Vaud are not in the public domain. It is very annoying, I know and makes the market conditions rather opaque. In Geneva it is a different story, there you can trace all transations on the internet since early 1990s. Even so, the interface there is not terribly user-friendly.

The only thing you can do in Vaud is find out when a particular house changed hands, but not, unfortunately, the price tag: http://www.registrefoncier.vd.ch/rf-...ewEvent=1)#=fr
