Recommendation about HypoPlus

Hello,

I need to renew my mortgage in Switzerland
Found a very attractive proposal from HypoPlus, they propose me 50% lower interest rate compare to UBS (0.74% instead of 1.42%). They are only a broker which connect to the financial intuition to fund the mortgage
Does anyone have past experience with this company and their offering? is their any "catch" working with them?

Thanks
Doron Tamari

Re: Recommendation about HypoPlus

Hi fellow EF friends
I had a very good experience with Hypoplus. They are very efficient and quick.
First of all they are saving you guys a lot of time. Instead of you running around between banks and alike they first sit with you, analyze your financial situation and requirements and after a few days come up with a few possibilities.
I must say that their findings were better then what I could find myself. In some cases they will even find deals with insurance companies which are far better then what the banks can offer.
It is important to highlight that they do not collect any commission from the borrower. They are being paid by the bank/ insurance company.
In general, I would warmly recommend their service.
Good luck!

What connection do you have to Hypoplus?

Spoke to my bank today... and was told they could offer me a 0.85% libor mortgage. That seems pretty good...

You're probably a better risk in their eyes

What Libor? Just make sure there is a good clause for the time after the Libor has been phased out?

Libor mortgage rate at homegate.ch is currently 0.65% so 0.85% from your current bank where they supposedly know you well is actually not that attractive.

There is quite a gap between what is advertised and what you actually get.

Probably they´ll give the 0,65% to someone who has the funds in cash and just does want a mortgage to deduct the interest, or something like that

Don't think so - I took a mortgage with homegate a few years ago and got the exact advertised rate with only the minimum 20% downpayment.
The application is done online, you select your desired mortgage type(s) and the term(s) from the dropdown menu so what you see there is what the contract is made for.

Re: Recommendation about HypoPlus

I don't know about HypoPlus, but I recently used D-L MoneyPark https://d-l.ch/en/contact and was very happy with their service.

BTW: Libor 0.85% is too high, I was offered 0.57% Libor.

PS: I don't have any affiliation with them.
