End of tenancy cleaning - Advice please

I was quoted CHF 900 for an end of tenancy cleaning of an approx 90m2 apartment (3 bedroom, 1.5 bath) Would this be in line with any of your experiences ?

Thanks in advance for any responses / comments.

Yep, sounds about right.

My cleaning service took careful note of number of windows, blinds and kitchen cabinets/cupboards, as that seemed to affect the amount of time required.

Re: End of tenancy cleaning - Advice please

That is about right.

Typical cost is 12-14 hrs of work for a 3.5 room apartment. Typical hourly cost is around CHF75/hour.

VERY IMPORTANT is to request a service that will give you "Übergabegarantie". And that they are present at the end-inspection with the agency representative, to assure of the quality of the cleaning.

Re: End of tenancy cleaning - Advice please

That's similar to what we were quoted, so it seems about right. I agree with Peternieder that you need to get a guarantee with it. That means that they'll be there on the day of the handover (the day after they clean) and will clean more if the Verwaltung wants it done.

Re: End of tenancy cleaning - Advice please

The price is normal. Good advice is to agree they will only be paid after the inspection has been passed...
