Problems using Swiss pension to buy house in UK

Hello everybody!

Did any of you have experience using the Swiss Pension (the part that can be used...) to buy a property in the UK?

we are having some troubles with it: the Swiss Bank where the vested benefits account is told us that the money, in order to be used, has to go either to the sellers directly, or to our notary/solicitor, or to our UK bank, provided that they state they take the money only for the house. The problem is that: our UK bank says they do not do these things, it's the solicitor who does. The solicitor says that they cannot take this money, but it is also absolutely forbidden to give money directly to the sellers. So...where can we move this money?? Anyone with a similar experience?

Thank you!!

As there is no legal requirement to use a solicitor his comment is amusing.

Taking out a larger loan & then repaying with the money is possible.

Why are you being so complicated, you can take the money as cash if you leave ch to live in the UK. I explained how to do it in a thread last year.

Regarding that, obviously it's not possible to do that with the 2nd pillar.

But if you were to leave and live in the UK, could you use the 2nd pillar to buy a house?

(sorry OP, I can't offer any help here...)

More FUD as ever, you can take your second pillar as CASH. You obviously have not read & UNDERSTOOD the law or my thread on the matter.

You can lead a camel to water but you can't make them drink.
