Have an exit plan, ask yourself are values increasing in the area?

What the cost to rent vs buy, can you rent the home you purchase for the same as your payment.. or more?

What is the average time to sell similar properties in the same area and price range?

The numbers will tell you if you should rent or buy, make it a business decision and not an emotional one.
