Those hooks on a pole for closing and opening roll-up sun shades

Yes, I have Googled for this and searched the Bau+Hobby website - though I don't even know what they are called in English.

We managed to snap the end off the long hook thingy you use for opening and closing balcony sunshades.

What are they called in German? And I assume Bau+Hobby or similar is the place to procure a replacement. Positive sighting reports from elsewhere welcome.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Those hooks on a pole for closing and opening roll-up sun shades

I was looking for the same thing recently, and my friend googles says that the hooked-pole-thingamajig is a Storenkurble or Kurbelstange or Gelenkkurbel for the poles that have a bending joint. For instance:

http://www.ersatzteile-storen.ch/kur...nenstoren.html

Although in the end I took the cowardly way out and called the manufacturer, saying simply 'Die Stange ist kaputt' in my worst accent. Seemed to work as I now have a new hooked-pole-thingamajig, although I would guess I paid over the odds for a replacement

Thanks both. We can give our neighbour's one back now.

Years ago I went to my local supplier, and he sold me a second hand one cheaply.
