Mortgage for an investment property (Permit B) in Switzerland

Hello

Is it possible for me to buy a property to rent out in Switzerland with a B permit? Some posts say it can only be my primary residence, but I read elsewhere that this only applies to non-EU citizens..

I am an EU citizen with B permit until 2018
I am permentantly 100% employed/living in Switzerland, I intend to stay here so this is a long term investment.

Thanks

According to this link, an EU citizen resident in Switzerland should be able to purchase any kind of property here. See p. 29:

Getting a mortgage would be a separate matter and would be a decision by the mortgage provider.

But wasn´t it that you only can get a mortgage when you effectively live in the apartment? At least as long as you have a B permit?

As an EU citizen resident in Switzerland, this would apply in roegner's link:

You live in Switzerland
EU/EFTA citizens

As an EU/EFTA citizen living in Switzerland, you enjoy the same rights as Swiss citizens when it comes to buying real estate, meaning you do not need a permit.

Buying to let and getting a mortgage for it is absolutely no problem on an EU B permit.

There is a restriction only for non-EU that the property would have to become your primary residence.

No. That's only if you want to use your pension fund. Then it must be your primary residence and that applies to everyone including Swiss citizens.
