It depends why it needed replacing really.

If you broke it then it's your responsibility, if it broke because it was old and worn out then it would be his.

230 chf for a loo seat Is it gold plated?
Still cheap.
http://www.popsci.com/scitech/articl...million-toilet.
For a seven member crew on a weeks mission that would have worked out at around 19.500 USD per crap in the cosmos.

Odile, don't be silly, an average bog seat as can easily be determined in ANY hardware store, Migros, Jumbo, Hornback, Coop or whereever costs about Chf 50.-- as you so well know.

Fitting is not rocket science.

Sure we can buy more expensive, if firstly we can afford too and then if we want too.

Not all toilets are created equal.
I would be furious if I had to pay to replace this one on my own:

Had to go clean my glasses for that one. At first look I read "/mowing".

The built-in epilation function is unfortunately still a work-in-progress.

tytti.ilona has no particular reputation at present
Re: Who is responsible? Me or the landlord

As others have said, talk to your landlord if you yourself were not the reason the seat broke. If you did break it yourself, check out your home insurance, and see if it makes sense to file a claim with whatever deductible you have in place.
