Help leaving the country

Hello
I need to leave Switzerland for family reasons at the end of February 2017. My contract says that leaving dates are end of March, June and September.
Any chance I can send the letter tomorrow (Nov 29th) and tell them so and avoid paying March?
Can someone German native help me draft the letter?
Thanks a ton!

Re: Help leaving the country

You can send the letter, but it won't get you out of the March leaving date. You'll still need to pay that unless you can find a replacement tenant to take over your lease.

If you don't send the letter tomorrow (registered post don't forget) remember not to leave it too late in December to send it. Christimas/New Year will mean the letter ought to get to them by 15th-20th December to make sure it's received on time.

Still, your situation seems to be changing rapidly. Only last week you were here for good and looking to start your own business here.

Re: Help leaving the country

Yeah, I read that one too. Just trying to get my head around the fact that a) he was talking about setting up his own business (had 2 clients already) and moving the family here to b) quitting his job for health reasons and then c) leaving because of family reasons yet waiting until February next year to do so. And all this in the space of a week.

Why not quit his job and set up his own business here as planned?
