Temporary accomodation for single person in Zurich - any tips?

Hello, I am moving for work to Zuirch right after New Years and initially I am looking for a temporary, one month, accommodation, not too expensive obviously, preferably in the city and no flat sharing.

On google I found a couple of companies and aparthotels offering studio apartments like Accademia and Zuerich appartments but they seem to be fully booked.

Any other suggestions, tips are highly appreciated.

no flat sharing.
Some of the airbnb are for an entire apartment rather than just one room.
Also, you could search the regular rental websites (Homegate, etc.) with the searchword "Befristet" which means "of limited duration".

Look at booking.com and select apartments. There are a number listed. It may not be the cheapest way to book so see if there is a website for the listed properties. AFAIK you can't airbnb and get a work/residence permit, although maybe possible if a proper rental agreement can be obtained from an airbnb host.

If it's a one month rent, like from aparthotel or agency, would that be valid for work permit?

A serviced apartment or aparthotel is fine from what I've read (also moving in Jan). Blueangel backs that up in the other thread.

I also need to apply for my work permit, I opened another topic on this. Do you think they would accept AirBnB reservation as temporary accommodation for the purpose of obtaining my permit?

Definitely fine. I have stayed in an "aparthotel" for my first three months here in CH and got my B permit without any issues.

Yes. Invoice from Airbnb is accepted when applying for permit.
