This is a funny/weird but useful question.
So, imagine that you are trying to find a property to buy. However, as in many countries in the world, the cheapest (but more risky) is to invest on a property that is not yet ready to live -- in other words, there's noting yet in place, no construction, anything, but a mere plan from a real state company.
In Zurich (and in most kantons), construction companies have to measure the building area, height, inclination, etc., and get an approval from the gemeinde/stadt/whatever before they start anything. Usually, there's some aluminium posts that performs such measurements. One of the companies that do this kind of thing is, e.g., BauProfile. You can check exactly what I'm talking about in this website: http://www.bauprofile.ch/?pgR=2
If you followed me until now, so, you might think: "ok, if I see some of these instruments on a property they are either renovating or about to build something. Then, knowing such thing in advance, I have more chances to be an early, let's say, investor -- or at least buy something in an early stage"... Voilá!
Now the question:
Where should I ask (gemeinde/stadt/etc) if there's any plan to build something in that specific area? Moreover, can I get to know which company will build it?
Thanks in advance!
