Lot categorized as burial ground

We live in Aargau and our area is scattered with roman ruins. Apparently a pot was found on our property many years ago and our land was categorized as a burial ground. We just found this out yesterday when the canton called us to let us know there is an issue with the permit we requested to replace the dilapidated covered area in our back yard. Someone from the archeological society will pay us a visit.

We are a bit concerned as we have a large renovation planned in a couple of months where we will add on to the house.

Anyone dealt with this and can give me an idea of what to expect with regards to process, wait times and cost?
