Recommended builder thread / plumber / painter / tiler / electrician
 

Hi All

like a few on here I also am in the process of planning renovation project and am looking for various trades people and noticed that there doesnt seem to be a thread on here recommending reliable builders who, as we all know are a rare breed.

anyway if you want to recommend anyone, feel free to mention the trade, where they work and how cost effective they were (CHF per hour etc..) along with a website.

no advertising as i dont think thats allowed, just recommendations :D

A company called Fuchs Wohnbau just finished building our house.
I was really happy with them. For us at least, they were very honest and reliable and quality wise I really couldn't fault them, and I'm a Structural Engineer that was looking for faults.
The are based in St Gallen/Thurgau and do most of their work in those Kantons.

They are a main contractor so I'm not sure in the current economic environment if you could use them for discreet packages of work, like plumbing or painting and so on. You might need to use them for the full build.
