3-month sublet: cancelling early?

A friend is staying in Zürich for the summer and she found a cheap furnished room as a sublet from a university student that's away for the holidays.

She's been there a few weeks but she hates it for several reasons, mainly because the other renters aren't particularly clean and it wasn't explained to her that those rooms would be sublet too. She says the landlord (lives in the building from what I gathered) keeps on popping in just to check up or something, and it's annoying for her to have someone knocking on her bedroom door at 07:30 just to check if everything is ok.

Anyway, she would like to move out and her subrental contract (something like this I think: https://www.mieterverband.ch/dam/jcr...ietvertrag.pdf ) says 2 weeks notice for a furnished room. Is this still valid? Can she give 2 weeks notice and leave even if she has agreed to stay from June 1st to Aug 31? In this case, is it the subrenters' responsibility to find a substitute for the agreed period?

How can she legally notify the main renter if he put his address as the place she is staying at and he obviously isn't there?

If that's what it says in the contractual document, then yes. I hope she doesn't expect any return on monies aleady paid.

Knocking on the door every day? Yikes.

Does the contract mention anything about the earliest possible termination date? If not, then very likely two week's notice as per the contract should be fine. She can check with the Mieterverband if she wants a legal opinion.
