Apartment Cleaning

Hello,
I will be moving out of my 2.5 (67m2) apartment at the end of the month. Can anyone recommend a good cleaner/service for my handover. What is the typical price range I should expect? Thanks for your help!!!

Kim

Re: Apartment Cleaning

I would recommend you to look for some "Umzugreinigung" companies in your nearby and ask them for prices. It can be quite different depending on the canton or area you are living.

Re: Apartment Cleaning

I've recently had a very bad experience with a company in Luzern area. They are certified but did a very poor job and also convinced the landlord that we caused a damaged to the washing machine! If you're looking for companies in that area, please PM me and I will give you an advice.

Re: Apartment Cleaning

I heard that quite some of such service providers issue a guarantee, so that the landlord will only get back to them if not satisfying with the cleaning?

Re: Apartment Cleaning

Most offer 100 percent guarantee. An ideal situation is to have them booked the morning that you might get your apartment checked for its condition. Therefore if anything isn't up to code with the apartment inspector, the cleaner who is already there can resume working until the job is, "done."

Re: Apartment Cleaning

I moved out of a 3 room, 78 m2 apartment in Stäfa in 2015 and I used Globus Umzug (http://globusumzug.ch/) for both the move and the cleaning. The move (to Zurich) ended up being 300 CHF (admittedly I had very little furniture, so it was a really fast and easy move) and the cleaning 690 CHF, with 100% guarantee and everything included (cleaning products, etc). It went perfectly. Went I gave away the apartment to the Verwaltung, the lady inspecting the apartment said it was the cleanest apartment she'd ever seen. All the credit goes to the cleaning lady, who did an amazing job. The cleaning lady and one more person from Globus Umzug were there when I gave away the apartment in case anything had to be cleaned again. I cannot recommend them enough.

Re: Apartment Cleaning

Used Diamond cleaning in Zurich recently (I posted a review in another thread) and was very happy with their services. Around 900 CHF for a 100 sqm flat.

Re: Apartment Cleaning

when seeing prices, I am glad I did the moving (rented 8m3 van in Geneva, costed 55 chf for whole sunday + cca 25 chf for those 20 km driven + 5 chf for fuel) and cleaning on my own (cca 5 hours work, albeit this was only 45m flat, on the other hand kitchen & bathroom were all white ).

good excercise too, I don't need to go weightlifting to silhouette for a few days

on a more serious note, I can understand why somebody would pay for it, especially with bigger apartment, with furniture, kids etc. plus the guarantee is great thing

Re: Apartment Cleaning

I also used Diamond Cleaning last week and they did an excellent job. The man from Diamond Cleaning dropped by for a quick look at the apartment and he quoted a good price, no fuss and a few days later the apartment was spotless - no complaints and friendly helpful service, will definitely use again. Can highly recommend. - http://www.diamondcleaningch.com

My wife being pregnant and us having to leave the old place on the same day the new one could be accepted giving one day to move and clean everything. Even if I wanted to I would not have known any possibility to do it myself. Asking three friends to help and reimburse them their free day and renting a van already would be more expensive then just giving it all to a company.
