Moving small number of boxes to Vietnam

I want to move less than 10 boxes from CH (Puidoux) to Vietnam by sea-freight. I do not need the packing/unpacking service and just need the people to come and pick the boxes. Do you know any company doing this for a good price? Thank you in advance.

What size? How heavy? If under 20kg each might be cheaper and easier to simply post them to yourself in Vietnam.

Re: Moving small number of boxes to Vietnam

It is around 50x40x50 and 20-30kg each. I have checked the post.ch and the cost for a standard size parcel (100x60x60) up to 30kg is 201.-
Do you think there is a cheaper way? I do not need it to deliver quickly, 2 months is still acceptable for me.

Re: Moving small number of boxes to Vietnam

Couldn't say tom_vn. Only moved a lot more stuff than that so nothing to compare with. I guess it depends if you can find a company who'll just do those few boxes or not. Or you can find someone else also moving to Vietnam with a part container who might have a bit of space for them.

There's a few companies mentioned in this thread which might be worth contacting.

The moves are to Australia and the US, but they may be able to quote you for Vietnam.

Have a look at the prices when sending from Germany with Deutsche post/DHL might save hundreds, Swisspost is extremely expensive for these things.

Re: Moving small number of boxes to Vietnam

Have you checked with the airline? Air freight is often cheaper for smaller loads. Are you also sure everything in the boxes you want?

ship is done by container usually, so cheaper for large volumes but you wont' fill a box with some boxes ;-)

Hi EdwinNL. Is is as easy as bringing the boxes to the DHL in Germany and sending them with the sender address in Switzerland? Any special custom declaration to do for the good from CH to DE?
