Lighting Stores in Geneva

Where should I look in Geneva for lighting? It looks like Do It + has lights as does some of the furniture shops. Are there any dedicated lighting stores I should consider?

Thank you

Re: Lighting Stores in Geneva

Most expats here do not "invest" in lighting as it is a sunk cost.

You also have Top-Tip in some of the Coop shopping centres (part of the group). It has mid-range lighting plus furniture etc.

Believe it or not, a lot of people just go to the IKEA in Meryin.

I totally get not wanting to invest in lighting. To me, it is a small investment to really make the place our home.

IKEA? I'll take a peek, but I have had too many issues in the past with their quality. I will give Top-tip a look.

Assuming you don't want to spend mega bucks, Jumbo and Conforama (there's one of each at Chavanne) have lighting sections.

Pfister too. I'm sure they have a store in Meyrin.

I think there's a Micasa, Interio and Aligro.

Or, you can get really racy and bugger off to France where, regrettably google will be more helpful than me.

There's also https://www.lampenwelt.ch/ if you want to browse online, they're a German company but the Swiss website shows prices/taxes for Switzerland.

Re: Lighting Stores in Geneva

On the French side, come to Annecy's mega shopping centre just off the Annecy Nord motorway exit (Grand Epagny) and you're spoilt for choice. There must be 4-5 lighting shops. However, I'd say they tend to be fancy. Close by is an enormous Leroy Merlin DIY store, which is good. But don't forget you'll be blowing 14€ on France's most expensive motorway (?) just getting there and back...
