Japanese-style toilet with sink

Our house has a very small bathroom with a toilet. We'd like to add a sink, but space is at a premium, as is available plumbing. The Japanese also have this issue and often much worse - ie, even smaller spaces. Their solution is toilets with small sinks integrated on top. Any idea how to get such a thing here?

Nice idea, but can that sink be lifted or folded up to load your laundry in the tank?

Why on Earth would you get "warm wee" on your fingers?

Re: Japanese-style toilet with sink

Having lived in Japan and been subjected to the use of this type of product I can assure you that I would never install such a product in a home here.

There are some pretty cool space saving sinks on the market. I would absolutely go for this concept.

I have been told that it is fine ti wash your hands in cold water as long as you use soap. However the cold water us rather unpleasant.

Re: Japanese-style toilet with sink

So the water you use to wash your hands is the refill of the flush water tank? That is a pretty groovy solution. (Couldn't use cool in this thread )

Do it yourself
