What To Treat Tanalised Timber With?

I'm hoping someone can give me a conclusive answer to this query please...

I've just had some tanalised timber reproduction sleepers installed in my UK garden where there's a couple of steps up from the patio to the lawn. They've come from the same timber yard who supplied all my fence panels about 4yrs ago. With the fence panels, I let them weather for a year or so, then treated with a few coats of light coloured 5yr Duckback, and they're as good as new. But with the sleepers, I want to use a clear treatment rather than a coloured one.

My first thought was yacht varnish because I used to use that on the Morris Minor Traveller woodwork, but after searching for options on t'internet, I can't decide between total wood preservative or decking oil, or any other product stacked with UV filters.

My requirements are:
preferably clear
must be non toxic as there are animals frequenting the garden.

Thank you!

If it were me, BLO cut 50/50 with Terpentine/Petrol.

Soaks in pretty deep, lasts a fair while.

EDIT: "BLO"= Boiled Linseed Oil

Thanks Jag. I asked the landscaper and he didn't have an answer. He reckons I should leave it for a few years then think about it.

That is the way I do pressure treated decks has always been:

Trisodium Phosphate scrub
Pressure wash
5% Copper Sulphate (fungicidal)
Thinned BLO.

Both the Sulphate and the BLO I spray with a weed sprayer.

Lasts about 5-10 years in Southern Ontario and Slovenia, depending on what the wood is, and the exposure.
