Temporary accommodation strategies

But when all is said and done you seem to have missed the point that finding something in 4 weeks in Kanton ZH is like running a marathon being a fat slob with the same notice - kind of tough...
Would it be a silly idea then to expect to move over to Zurich and book some kind of temporary accommodation, such as a hostel, then check out some neighbourhoods before focusing on the available properties in one or two of your picks?

Also, what do people do for temporary accommodation when they relocate? Is there anything less wallet-busting than a hotel where you can stay for a short period, such as a month, while looking for somewhere more permanent?
