| | Modernistic powerblock for kitchen counter?
Can anyone suggest a decent looking multi outlet power block for a partially exposed kitchen counter area? I don’t need a permanent mount in-counter or under cabinet and would like something that doesn’t look like it belongs in an office or workshop.
I’ve seen some cube looking things on Galaxus that might be passable, but nothing else.
Thanks.

I think choices are very limited (if any) due to the very small market.

You'll have to deal with a trailing cable anyway, so is there much point in making the rest of it look very pretty ? Anyway, to see what is available, search for "Steckdosenleiste schweiz" or "schweiz steckdosen cube" and look at the images.
You may want to take some precautions to stop the thing falling into the sink (shortening the effective cable length maybe using cable ties) and be aware of its maximum load - not much more than that of a normal kettle.

With all of the house and design businesses I see and Swiss style in general, I thought it would be an easy find if I knew where to look.
Thanks for the efforts and inputs so far. You guys are great. |

Alternatively, how about mounting this outlet in an attractive piece of polished wood? It's really not hard to drill a suitable hole in a block of wood. | The following 2 users would like to thank 22 yards for this useful post: | |

| | Re: Modernistic powerblock for kitchen counter? This one is beautiful; modern and minimalist. Again, it could easily be embedded in a block of wood (or stone/granite...) | The following 2 users would like to thank 22 yards for this useful post: | |

Something along such lines as this image could work. I'm not sure the company is still around though.
Any idea where in Switzerland I might find such boutiquey materials such as cloth wrapped electrical cord/wire?? Maybe a lamp shop or restoration something. |

In the Netherlands we liked this shop for small projects at home, they have a very wide variety of colors. And a few meters is VAT free on the Swiss side when it comes to import. https://www.creative-cables.nl/18-la...bruggingskabel
There is also this one https://www.creative-cables.nl/18-la...bruggingskabel but they only deliver 0,75mm2 (which would be thin so max power usage is limited)
(If ever needed I can help with communication)
