Probably much more in Malta, having done some research there are some that auto shut off. Mine looked exactly like this but was not branded Bosch.

Ours are totally different- no cylinder - connected to pipes that go direct to tank in boiler room next to panels - and linked to boiler in case (very rare) when there is not enough light/sun to heat to direct temp.

There was a 2kw heater in the tank, when required. I think it had died as when the additional floor was built around the solar heater I could not get any hot water. It was then I decided to replace the system.
