Planning to stay in Switzerland 3 months, not sure what to do with housing

Hey, I'm planning to stay in Switzerland for 3 months after i've saved up money for it.

I'm not sure what makes the most sense, an appartment or a hotel for those 3 months

I've been looking at a few hotels that have long stays, most of them are over 3K, but I found one that was 1,500Fr per month.

I've also checked homegate.ch and some of the other portals, but most of them costs around 1K and upwards of that too, plus needs deposit, and no furniture, but maybe I've just looked at it wrong?

What would you guys recommend me to do for 3 months?

My budget would be around 1000-1500 a month

Thanks in advance

It depends where you want to stay , what equipment has to be in the flat /hotel .
How many people are staying in the room ?
What size has the room to be ?

I reckon that you budget will not be enough in cities like geneve or hotspots like interlaken/st.moritz/davos

Whereabouts in Switzerland? The more info you can give, the more people can help. If it’s Zurich, you could try serviced apartments. Cheaper than hotels.

AirBnB?

Also knowing where in Switzerland would be helpful, your budget does not extend to Geneva, Berm, Basle or Zurich but could be achievable (in the off season), elsewhere.

If you'd be prepared to share an apartment (you have one bedroom to yourself, and each other person does, too, and you share the bathroom and kitchen), then have a look at https://www.wgzimmer.ch/en/wgzimmer.html?wc_language=en.
"WG" stands for "Wohngemeinschaft" meaning "communal living" or shared accommodation, and "Zimmer" means "room" or, more specifically, "bedroom".

When searching homegate, etc., use the word "befristet", which means "of limited duration". These are often furnished flats being sub-let while the owner is temporarily away.

See also www.ums.ch, which specialises in temporary accommodation.
