| | Replace shower head - All rounder or plumber?
Hi,
New to house ownership here in Switzerland and what would be a basic question elsewhere, to me, seems slightly more complicated here. Have a basic 'pole attached to wall' where the showerhead hangs and I wanted to put up something akin to a 'rainshower head'.
Is an 'All Rounder' required or a Plumber? Or is it just a matter of calling the Hauswart?
Merci vielmals!

Honestly, this is a DIY job! You just screw the old shower head off and screw the new one on. Extremely simple. The new shower head probably comes with a silicone washer; if so, replace the old washer, too. Just put the new one where the old one was.
Or I'll do it for you, for CHF 150 plus tax plus car usage fee.

As above, but I would charge you 140 CHF plus the car usage fee, the car usage fee being smaller as I'm not travelling from Basel...

CHF 135 plus tax plus motorcycle usage fee, and I'll throw in my apprentice for just an extra CHF 90. Final offer.

If it's just the new, wider rain-style showerhead attachment where the existing one is, then it is probably easy to do yourself.

OP probably means a "Kopf"- or "Deckenbrause". There could be a bit more to the installation, depending on it's age. Still doable by yourself though probably. A picture would help?
If you get one to screw on, beware of just importing one, English threads are different.
OP, you have your own house but a Hauswart?
edit: I see the boys here sense their chances. |

Depends on what they actually want instead of A.
CHF 150 plus travel cost for option B is a pretty good deal. | The following 2 users would like to thank aSwissInTheUS for this useful post: | |

Depends on what you want. If it's just a new shower head, then DIY is the way to go. If you need to change the plumbing for an overhead rain shower thing, then it's the plumber, after you have permission from the landlord. If you're renting, that is.

CHF 150 plus travel cost for option B is a pretty good deal. | | | | | It's D, obviously. It certainly will be, anyway, once the OP obtains a couple of quotes for B.

Or if you go with 22 Yards I have the special offer of 10CHF and I'll throw things at 22 Yards apprentice.
Jokes aside, If you genuinely need a hand just give me a shout.
