Leasing unused land

Is it possible to lease land from the Kanton or privately in this case Zug for a commercial purpose. Not building a house On it

Anyone have experience?

I just wonder where you found "unused land".

Check the official map ZugMap.ch which building zone the land belongs to, and then check if your intended activity is permitted in this zone.

as said above, depends on your local land use plan and what you intend to do with it? You have to ask your Gemeinde, and tell them exactly what your intentions are. Would there be any hard infrastructure- or would it affect your neighbours, etc, etc.

We have plenty of spare land and could put a few caravans on it- but nothing that would affect neighbours and no hard infrastructure as we are in a protected village and the land is non constructible (apart from horse stables attached to the house if ever we want to do so). We allow our farming neighbours to keep horses there, for free. They help us with many jobs, etc, and we help them. Great.
