First Time Home Buyer Programs?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if there are any programs for first time home buyers in Switzerland? Anything really... from help with the downpayment, to a contribution towards renovation, etc.? Does anything like this exist in Switzerland?

Thanks so much.

I seem to remember banks used to offer such things. I think it was either UBS or Credit Suisse. But it is a very long time ago (and I did not attend one). Ask there.

Not that I know, it's not like in other places. if everything, banks increased the downpayment quite a few years ago. They made it more difccult to buy a house here, not easier. ;)

I know my OH looked into the possibility of buying a place here because he works for one of the banks, but to make the deposit we would have had to sell the 2 properties we own in Scotland and that wasn't possible for us to do at that point (about 3 years ago).
